Improve Affordability – This is one of the highest priority issues for everyone…
Home insurance has skyrocketed. Property taxes have doubled since around the start of covid. These are the costs that legislature’s policies keep pushing up. They tell you cutting red tape is going to lower housing. Don’t be bamboozled. The cost of land is not coming down. The cost of concrete is not coming down. The cost of timber is not coming down. The cost of shingles is not coming down. The cost of labor is not coming down. The cost to build a house is not coming down.

A mortgage is comprised of PITI, Principle, Interest, Taxes and Insurance. The legislature has increased your taxes and insurance… a lot! Just look at your property tax bill, or rent bill from 5 years ago compared to now. A significant portion of your mortgage/rent are taxes and interest. Time for change.
High Property taxes are driving people out of the state. We know they say where property taxes are going, but it turns out the cigarette tax, alcohol tax, marijuana tax, lotto tax and fee fee fee are going where? It’s time to give the legislature a budget lesson.
Protecting Kids – Kids have the right to grow up without being harassed by creepy adults…
Protecting parental rights is part of this fight. The legislature too often acts as if the state owns your children. This hockey puckey must be corrected.
Notice! Because of the failure of the current state legislature, there will be three citizen ballot measures put on the ballot this fall:
108 – “Protecting Children from Sex Trafficking,”
109 – “Protect Women and Girls Sports Act,”
110 – “Protecting Children from Irreversible Sex Change Procedures,”
School choice — including vouchers and charter schools — empowers parents to remove their kids from failing government-controlled schools and find better options… let’s go.
Protect Constitutional Rights – Some legislators have said they have the right to pass legislation around the Bill of Rights…. WHAT!

The Bill of Rights is not negotiable. The Constitution is not negotiable. These documents are a binding contract between We the People and our government. When legislators casually rewrite or ignore that contract, it is always the people who lose. This dangerous attitude must end. Unconstitutional bills should never pass — and existing ones must be repealed. If the legislators just change that contract who is going to get the short end of the stick? We all know the answer to that.
Let me be clear: the Second Amendment exists to protect the First, and all the others that follow. History shows what happens when governments disarm their citizens and ignore constitutional limits — just look at Cuba, Iran, and even some European nations where people have little recourse against their rulers.
Protect Property Rights – Private property is the cornerstone to Capitalism…

Private property is the cornerstone of capitalism — and capitalism is the greatest wealth-creating system the world has ever known.
There have been rumblings to eliminate property taxes FOREVER. But how would schools get funded? There are multiple ways, any of which would be a consumption tax. For example, phase out property tax and replace it with statewide consumption (sales) taxes dedicated to education, combined with private dollars (donors) to allow revenue stability.
Capitalism isn’t perfect, but compared to socialism — where everyone is poor except the ruling elites — there is no contest. Capitalism rewards innovation, hard work, and risk-taking. Corporations and small businesses alike create real wealth. That’s why America became the most prosperous nation on earth. Let’s keep that engine roaring.
Protect the Environment – Yes, that’s right, clean air, clean water, and clean energy are a must for society to thrive…
Yes, we should be concerned about greenhouse gases. Electricity is clearly the energy of the future — but we must generate it cleanly and abundantly. Wind turbines are not as “green” as advertised; they cause significant environmental damage that is often ignored. There are smarter ways to generate power: nuclear and hydroelectric are proven, reliable options.

Smart, responsible solar development is also important. As battery technology continues to improve, hybrid vehicles make increasing sense as well.
Support Law Enforcement – We are a nation of laws — not a nation of warlords…
Without effective law enforcement, society breaks down. Our system includes important checks and balances: state police, local police, and sheriff departments operate under separate layers of government oversight. Laws must be fairly and consistently enforced to keep our communities safe.
My Dad was a Korean War Veteran who served as a Navy Corpman the entire war.
He was the Under Sheriff of Dolores County, Colorado and served as the Chief Search and Rescue Officer in his section of the San Juan Mountains. I had the honor of joining him on many of those missions.
