It always sounds reasonable to “protect the children”, but does SB26-051 really protect the children? Or does it give governments an open door to require government-issued IDs for ANYONE to access a computing device?!

There are much better ways to protect children without sacrificing privacy rights. There are now and have been tools embedded by the internet service providers (both phone, wireless and search providers) that parents can use to allow or disallow their children to use certain apps.
